The idea for Hidden Meadow Farm has long lain dormant, waiting for the time to emerge and grow. From the time I was a small child, and my mother showed me how to plant zinnia seeds, I knew I wanted to grow plants. I carefully carried the water from the spring to water those zinnias, hoed and weeded them and impatiently waited for them to bloom. As I watched the buds unfold, I felt a partnership in creation and I was hooked. After 17 years in the corporate environment, I was caught up in the “downsizing” and faced with a choice of a mid-life career change. It was not a hard choice. I know now is the time for the greenhouse to emerge and grow. So I just want to say, “Thanks, Mom, for showing me how to start those seeds.” Come grow with us! .
